The Role of the School Council
The school council is an elected body that meets once a fortnight to discuss day to day issues to do with school life.
The school council represents the voice of the children in the school. They are involved in keeping the school environment neat i.e. planting bulbs in the playground containers and making sure that the playground is a happy and safe place for all children to enjoy.
This has been implemented with the introduction of a buddy stop, each school councillor is time tabled to stand at the buddy stop in the playground to ensure the pupils have friends to play with. They also collate feedback from children after a curriculum week.
